Wyld Networks has been contracted to deliver its Wyld Connect satellite IoT module to a USA based custom electronics manufacturing company. Wyld Networks has received a purchase order with a total value of approximately SEK 6.29 million for delivery over a four-year period starting in 2023.
The Wyld Connect solution will allow the customer, a third-party integrator, to deploy Wyld’s satellite IoT connectivity into sensors such as offshore navigation beacons, industrial dust collector monitoring, offshore platform emissions monitoring, and truck oil and hydraulic measurables for factors such as level, temperature and more. The contract is for Wyld Connect modules with one year of data service and Wyld anticipate further data service purchases for the following years.
“We are delighted to announce the receipt of this purchase order as we look to increase our presence in the US. The launch of the network in December 2022 enables Wyld to deliver data to sensor manufacturers, integrators and their clients, extending the possibilities of the Internet of Things,” said Alastair Williamson, CEO of Wyld Networks.
Wyld’s sensor-to-satellite module allows IoT sensors to communicate directly with Low Earth Orbit satellites. Wyld’s portfolio of modems, devices, and embedded technologies enable communication with the cloud, no matter the location, providing 100% global IoT coverage.
The North American market is one of the largest in the world with an estimated 5.4 billion IoT connections predicted by 2025. The ability of the US IoT market to double in value over only a few years is underpinned by the wide range of applications and industries that can benefit from increased connectivity of devices. This is being accelerated by satellite IoT.
